Tell me you all know what Swagbucks are! Or tell me at the very least you've heard of the them, but maybe have no clue how they work. Before Monday of this week, I fell into the second category. I had heard the term before but thought to myself "oh, it's probably stupid".

Well....a week changes things. Abby & Mandy over at Steals & Deals had done a few post regarding Swagbucks in the past few weeks and it was just enough to get me interested. Ok, I feel the need to clarify! Many of you have asked me what blog-stalking is...and while I know what MY definition of it is...I decided to hit up UrbanDictionary.com to see what they had to say.

Oh my! I'm totally not a blog-stalker in the Urban Dictionary sense of the word. Their definition:

blog-stalk -
v. to secretly read someone's blog with the express purpose of learning more about them without their knowledge; to stalk via blog

I mean, seriously, I 'm not a stalker-stalker. My definition of blog stalking is as follows:

blog stalk -
to read a blog frequently, daily or otherwise but very rarely (if ever) leave a comment. In a fun, friendly, entertaining kind of way!

Ok, just wanted to make sure we're all on the same page. Whew!

Anyhow, speaking of "blog stalking" in MellyRoo terms....I figured I'd share with you my current favorite blogs. I seriously can't get enough of these people. And for the record, some of the people I actually know IRL...and others....don't even know I exist! :)

I used to LOVE checking the mail. There is nothing better than receiving an unexpected card or letter. But lets be real, the only person I know that still sends cards in the mail is my grandmother and forget letters. My mail is now bills, medical-bills, junk mail ads or store catalogs. Store catalogs are by far, the bright spot in my mail pile! I never really order from the catalogs but have recently developed a habit of pulling out the pages of things I "want" and then affixing said pages to my refrigerator. My thought process is if the hubby goes to the fridge, he'll get to see what I want. This should make birthdays/anniversaries/Christmas so much easier on him. HA HA HA!

Seriously, I'm not that materialistic. Things are things HOWEVER it is oh-so-much fun to dream! Here's a little peek of the items adorning my refrigerator!

James Avery stackable rings. My answer to a mother's ring!

MinoHD Flip. Let's face it, my miniDV video camera is way outdated!

New bedding in red/gold/brown colors. I have a great story about why my other fabulous bedding is no longer with us...but that is for a later date!

Kailo Chic Red Tote. Actually, I'd take any tote at this point. I think it's time for me to combine my diaper bag, brief case and purse that I always have on me and just carry one thing. I may change my mind later!

That's all for now. I'm sure as more catalogs come in I'll find more "wants". Feel free to steal my idea of dropping "hints" to your hubby on the fridge! I'd love to hear if it works! :)

I'm so sorry! I said I'd re-open on Monday and look at me...it's Friday night and I'm just now getting things in order.

I will say my precious baby boy was battling some serve colic. I was seriously considering running away to a far away place, but by the grace of God we figured out what was causing it. Going with the theme "I'm completely different than my sister"....apparently Tyler James is allergic to his momma's milk. We switched to Similac soy milk on Wednesday and WOW! a night and day difference. He is back to his happy, loving, almost giggling cute little baby self. In turn, I'm rested and happy and ready to get the ball rolling.

To get things going again I'll be having a BOGO 1/2 off sale on all Melamine products (plates, trays, bowls) now through March 15th. Get your orders in now!

Welcome Tyler James Kent!!!

Tyler James Kent arrived Friday, January 15th at 6:02 p.m. He is 7lbs. 9oz. 18 1/2" long. He spent 6 days in NICU because his lungs were under developed but is now safe and sound at home! We are so very blessed to welcome this precious little boy into our family. We are complete! :)

Nothing makes me happier than browsing booths and noticing a "familiar" face. Today I'm participating in the Kelly's Korner "Show Us Your Life" blog carnival. In the past I haven't been known to participate in this particular blog carnival mainly because I'm not that interesting...or at least I don't think I am. :) However, this one sparked my interest and I'm sure you'll love it too! Today's "Show Us Your Life" focuses on "What do you make?" ... as in Etsy shops, crafts, online boutiques.....you had me at Etsy! Click here to join in the fun!

I don't know about you, but this week flew by in my world! I started the week with a "To Do" list a mile long and now that's it's Friday, my list is about two miles long. I don't think that's how a "To Do" list is supposed to work, is it?

I'm completely bummed that I missed Wordless Wednesday this week. I'm not even sure I remember Wednesday at this point. Anyhow, I'm excited to share tons of new picture post in the coming week so stay tuned. I'm also hoping to get a little video clip of MellyRoo and her pumpkin patch. Yes, her pumpkin patch....as in her own personal pumpkin patch that is currently in her bedroom. Good Times!

I'm typically a Monday person. I like the fresh start to new week, the excitement of an organized calendar and a "to do" list to tackle. Today, is not that day!

That's OK though, I'm going to choose not to focus on the yucky part of Monday but celebrate the new week by procrastinating and doing a little window shopping. As you know, October is my FAVORITE month....so here are some of my favorite new finds.

Can you believe it's October? No, I can't either...where did 2009 go?

October has always been my very favorite month. Growing up I don't remember our family ever taking "holiday photos" or anything of the sort but I can guarantee you there has never been a Halloween gone undocumented. I remember October being a month full of festivities and fun, not just one night of trick-or-treating but days on end of carnivals, fairs, pumpkin patch visits and much more. I can't wait to recreate those memories with my kiddos!

NEW Personalized Snack Bowls

I've been dying to share with you the most fabulous new product offered in the MellyRoo line: Personalized Snack Bowls. Are these not the cutest little things ever?

The personalized snack bowls work off the same concept as the sippy cups and tumblers. There is a laminate insert placed between the bowl part and the outer shell. This insert is interchangeable and can be customized any way you like. The snack bowls themselves hold 12 oz. of product. MellyRoo's favorite thing to put in hers is M & M's but of course, not a whole 12 oz. worth. :)

I also think this would too cute as a formula holder to put in your diaper bag!

The snack bowls come in pink, green, blue or white and like always, any MellyRoo design can be customized for the snack bowl.

Long overdue updates

You'd never know it from my website ... but I have about 300 designs in my collection. Surprising? Not if you know me very well. Probably even less surprising is the fact that I keep procrastinating to put all the designs on the website.

I make no promises but I'm trying to update these designs in the next few weeks. At the very least I'd like to get 150....that seems reasonable, huh?

I love a bargain...well, that might be a lie.....it's more like I sleep, eat and breathe for bargains. So it's no wonder I'm crazy obsessed with Just Between Friends and anticipate the sales like Christmas Day every March and August.

Saturday was the official beginning of this fall's Just Between Friends sale here in Tulsa. I woke up bright and early to get in line for the big presale, shopping list in one hand and credit card and photo id in the other (I'm seasoned at this bargain shopping stuff!)

Among many of the great bargains these are MellyRoo's two favorites!

Disney Cinderella Princess Dress. My cost: $17....retail price over $79.50. Seriously, check it out here.

I haven't posted a great coupon find recently so here it is...

Right now you can purchase a tub of diaper wipes for less than $1. These are Huggies diaper wipes people....score!

Anyhow, just go to your local Walgreens and find the back to school flier that is near the front of the store (usually near the weekly circulars). Inside the flier you'll find a $2 off any Huggies wipes purchase coupon. Stack that coupon with a Huggies manufacturers coupon from your Sunday paper and viola! My local Walgreens has Huggies tubs of wipes for $3.29...I used the $2 off store coupon and $1 off manufacturer coupon and only paid $.29 for a tub of wipes!

The best laid plans...

What do they say about the best laid plans?? Something about it not going right, right?!? I think that's the motto of my life right now. I make all the plans...and then they change or completely veer off course. If anything, I'm learning that my plans maybe grand but His plans are already set and I'm just along for the ride! :)

On a lighter note....but still going with plans not quiet working out on a smaller scale. I had "planned" to upload pictures of products from my camera today and get all caught up...but that's apparently not the plan.

The new plan is to share with you a new video of Miss MellyRoo dancing and singing...it's what she does best!

If you can't make it out...she's singing along with Sugarland's "All I Want To Do"...but also adding the lyrics from Mickey Mouse Club House, "hot dog, hot dog".

Motorsports Update!

The #79 MellyRoo Designs sprint car has been side lined much of this season due to our driver, Tim Kent having shoulder surgery. However, we're happy to report that this weekend David Stephenson got to step in and give the car a little track time. Much to our delight David won the A Feature bringing the MellyRoo Designs #79 to Victory Lane at Brill's Motorspeedway. We are so proud!
